Our recipe makes for a fluffy texture, best enjoyed freshly steamed. It also comes with a variation of sweet potato bun. You can have a play with colours in adding red or purple sweet potato. Instructions

What you need:

  • 50g      Shortening   (or 50g butter / 2 tbsp oil)
  • 1 tsp    Instant dried yeast
  • 250ml  Water
  • (300g mashed sweet potato)

 

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients and knead into a smooth dough.
  2. Cover and leave aside to rise for 1 hour or until double in size.
  3. Shape the dough into desired shapes.
  4. Cover and leave to rise again for 30 minutes.
  5. Steam buns for 20 minutes.
