Banana Cake Premix

Banana cake is one of the staple desserts everyone love! This cake, though, is made differently than the other cakes. It requires beating of egg-white, then incorporating into the batter. One extra step, but contributes to the lightness in the cake. This cake is fluffy, light and not overly sweet. It will be perfect to go with a cup of tea during teatime.

Instructions

What you need:

250g butter

5 eggs

250g mashed banana

Instructions:

  1. Separate egg white and egg yolk.
  2. Beat egg white with 5tbsp sugar until stiff and set aside.
  3. Beat butter and sugar until light.
  4. Add in egg yolk one at a time and beat well.
  5. Add in mashed banana.
  6. Sieve in premix flour and mix well, fold in beaten egg white.
  7. Bake in 9″ cake tin at 180°C for 50 minutes.
