What you need:
Filling
- 250g Split mung bean
- 150g Sugar
- 150g Vegetable oil
Skin
- 100g Mashed orange sweet potato
- 220ml Warm water
- 3 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1-2 drops Red colouring
Instructions:
Filling
- Wash mung bean and soak for at least 5 hours/overnight.
- Steam mung bean for 40 minutes or until cooked.
- Mash mung bean then add sugar and oil.
- Cook in a pot until a paste is formed.
- Cover will cling film and let cool before shaping into balls.
Skin
- Mash steamed orange sweet potato and mix with premix flour.
- Pour in warm water and mix well.
- Add in oil and knead into a smooth dough.
- Divide the dough and wrap the filling. Brush with oil before steaming.
- Steam over medium-low heat for 12-15 minutes.
